Balochistan Sports Board
Department leadership
The Provincial Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs holds political responsibility for sport in Balochistan — provincial sports policy, the departmental budget, and the development of playing facilities across all districts.
The Secretary is the administrative head of the Sports & Youth Affairs Department, responsible for implementing provincial sports policy, departmental administration and the affairs of the Balochistan Sports Board.
The Directorate General of Sports runs the province's sports programme day to day — district sports offices, coaching, provincial championships, and the operation of Sports Board facilities including the Ayub Sports Complex in Quetta.
Who we are
The Balochistan Sports Board is the provincial body responsible for the development, organisation and governance of sport across Balochistan. It operates under the Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Government of Balochistan, and is headquartered at Ayub Stadium, Quetta.
Through the Directorate General of Sports, the Board maintains stadiums, academies and halls, runs a District Sports Office in every district, recognises provincial and district associations for each sport, organises provincial championships, and supports athletes from the grassroots to the national stage.
What we do
Registration & affiliation
Maintain the official register of athletes, coaches, referees, clubs, academies and associations for every recognised sport.
Facilities & academies
Operate stadiums, grounds, halls and academies, and issue memberships to the public and to clubs.
Competitions
Organise inter-district and provincial championships, and select provincial teams for national events.
Talent pathway
Identify and support athletes from district level through to provincial and national representation.
